I grew up watching my grandmother's hands move across paper with a certainty that felt like prayer. Every fish, every lotus, every geometric border carried a story older than any book. Rooted Colors is my way of keeping those hands alive — and bringing their work to walls around the world.

An art going quiet in the villages of Bihar.
For centuries, women in the Mithila region of Bihar painted the walls of their homes with stories of gods, harvests, and love. Passed from mother to daughter, never written down, never taught in schools. Today, that thread is thinning. Rooted Colors exists to pull it back — to honor the women who painted in silence, and to ensure their language of lines is never forgotten.
